Chez Chasch is the home studio and creative playground for Chasch Ray. The studio is located in Harrop, about 30 kms east of Nelson, BC, and is accessed by taking the Harrop Ferry - which provides a short and scenic trip across Kootenay Lake for free.

Most of my work is functional - even a sculpture begs to have a purpose in life. My pottery speaks to my passions for food, flowers, gardening and nature.  My creations aim to become a coveted part of a table setting. A favourite coffee mug must be just the right size and feels like it was made especially for your hand.

I especially love to experiment with glazing. Making patterns or layering many glazes I’m always aiming to great depth and mystery and surprises.

My pottery is for sale at J.B. Fletcher Store/Museum - in Ainsworth, BC, and at the Kootenay Gallery in Castlegar as well as Dog Patch Pottery in Crawford Bay and the Procter Village Café. By calling or emailing ahead you can also arrange to visit my studio in Harrop as I’m in the studio most days.
